I decided to take a deep dive in to a genre of pie called the “desperation pie”.
Desperation pies were once popular across America but have been set on the back burner in today’s culinary landscape.
I explored this genre of pie through a series of videos I made where I go through:

- A step by step guide on how to make three different desperation pies. A sugar cream pie from Indiana, a water pie from the great depression and a vinegar pie from Appalachia.
